Matt7895: Patch installed, game works fine!

Here's exactly what I did, for anyone still having trouble:

1. Went to [url=[/url] and downloaded Part 0, Part 1, Part 2
2. Moved them to the C:\Downloads folder (default location the installer uses)
3. Went down the page to "Enhanced Edition English Language Pack - 5 links" and downloaded 'Part 1'.
4. Moved 'Part 1' to C:\Downloads
5. Ran TW2EE_Patch.exe
This method didn't work for me - it just keeps asking for each numbered TW2EE_Patch-#.bin. So, after 2 it asked for 3 - after downloading that it asked for 4.. I'm not going to keep downloading them like this only to have it ask me for the next one.

And it's not even like I can pissed off any anyone.. mistakes happen, but.. fuck - I am pissed off - I'm happy I don't have a download cap, but that doesn't really matter because my download rate is so shitty I might as well.

I mean.. just.. goddamnit.. fuck.. hell..

My version installed perfectly as well, but it looks like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Yv6dYLL4V8 XD
I tried and I am done with patching this game and worrying about updating. I am just going to buy the Steam version next time it goes on sale there and call it good. Every single time there has been a patch I have problems. This just reminds me exactly why I don't buy games outside of steam anymore unless they will register on Steam.

I spent a good chunk of my monthly bandwidth pre downloading then turns out there was a corrupt file. I did try all the advice here and replaced the file but it seems my initial attempt to patch with the corrupt file corrupted my whole game install. I'll just redownload it and start from scratch when I buy it on Steam and I won't be buying The Witcher 3 unless I can get it on Steam.

No I am not trolling. I love this game. I bought it twice at release both from Gog and the collectors edition so I have already spent quite a but of money on it but this is not the first or second time I have wasted time and bandwidth and jumping through hoops trying to get their patches to work and I'm just really REALLY tired of it. *sigh*
So now im stuck with gog downloader: 14,94 GB of 14,99 GB - anyone know how to fix this please? :( http://i.imgur.com/UFJVo.jpg

I am getting angry with this release :( The backup copy from gog is broken too: http://i.imgur.com/U0Soe.jpg i dont know what to do next
hayuto: I had that problem - stopping at 14.94 GB - and I just quit the downloader and relaunched it, and it resumed the download without further issue. (Be sure to quit it entirely; don't just close the window.)
This is so funny...

Every time game goes live this happens on the first day just about to everyone.
Steam, GOG, Origin (that's a swear word, sorry)
And yes every time people complain as if it was the end of the world.

Computers are only as reliable as their operators and those in turn make one mistake every 20 lines of code per average.
That includes ISPs, their switches, their SANs and so forth.
1% of 100,000 (if that is the number of users trying to get this on day one) is still 1000 :)

Do yourself a favour, go out, have a coffee, enjoy some sunshine, it will be fixed in less than 24 hours and the world will go on.
Patience is a virtue :)

However, if you happen to be an early adopter... consider the validity of your complain.
Then consider the number of companies involved in a chain...
Then PLEASE try not to blame CD Projekt or GOG.com for bad weather tomorrow.

I am having this exact same problem as well. It asked me for number 3. I am downloading the back up copy from GOG right now though so I think I will uninstall my current one and just use the back up.
None of these fixes work for me, have to re-download all 10GB

edit: nvm I'm retarded, fixed it.

I fortunately had a backup of the original The Witcher 2 release that I downloaded from GOG. I had to reinstall my game as the corrupted EE patch messed up my game such that I had no choice but to do a clean install. Even then I had to redownload TW2EE_Patch-1.bin and TW2EE_Patch-2.bin as the original files where corrupted somehow and caused an error when extracting the new patch0.dzip.

It seems that several of The Witcher 2 patches have had some kind of issue or other which leads me to wonder if anyone actually checks these things before uploading them. A lot of people seem to have had the same problems as myself so I know it isn't something specific only to my machine.
