dnna: That's an interesting point :) I talked to many (male) gamer friends and all of them said they don't feel as 'in character' when they roleplay women. Yet I've never had trouble roleplaying a guy. I am not saying everyone is like that, but it's still very interesting. Any guys who would like to elaborate on that?
I have no issues with it. Hell, when I played through Dragon Age the first time, it was as a female character and I bedded a couple of the male NPCs. Doesn't bother me, since it's a game and all. :)
Actually, given the choice, I generally play as a female character in RPGs. Part of it is definitely because if I'm looking at a character for the whole game, it might as well be pleasing to look at. Another is I have daughters, so the thought of strong women kicking ass appeals to me as well.
*edit* Oh, I guess I should point out I'm male. Just in case that's not clear. :P
