There're three, right? All at the edges of the chasm? Because I've destroyed all three, but the quest hasn't updated. I've looked all over the area for more, but haven't found any.

Are there more nests to the north?
Nope, there are 7. You will be able to destroy 4 outside and 3 inside a cave around the cliffs (a main quest will take you inside, you cannot enter otherwise).

There are seven in total, 4 around the outdoors area, and 3 more indoors.
All near the quarry.

I have a harpy quest video, if you really want spoilers ...

I think I know the door you mean. Tall construction, looks like it was painstakingly built by dwarves just to close in a harpy queen. And with perplexing craftsmanship, at that. Don't know how they managed to get the harpies to stay put for so long.

Ugh. And I thought this was gonna be a quick matter. It would've driven me crazy if somebody hadn't told me. I'd've been searching everywhere for the final nest.

Don't know how to get someone to give me the key, either. I mean... I've got the Harpy Queen quest.... .

Don't worry about it.
Do other stuff. You have to go in that cave.

Yeah, that's the door. Like I said, you will have to go in as a part of the main quest, just don't worry right now :) You're doing good.

Your second paragraph explains exactly what I did. I thought my game bugged up because I destroyed four nests and traps no longer worked. D:
It strikes me as unreasonable quest by the way. The person that gives you the quest is the same person that doesn't want you let you behind the door that allows you to finish it. Hmm..
I dont want to sound like a smart ass, but doesnt the game tell you exactly how many you have done and how many there are? In the form of a fraction, right?

Just click on the quest and it'll present it on screen until you complete the quest or select a different one.

You can't complete all of them outside or inside. If the question was how to finish it, it is quite valid.
I didn't complete this quest because when I was placing harpy traps by the nest, none would come to pick it up and destroy the nest... Any tips?

You don't have to place it by a nest. Just explore until harpies show up, then drop a trap, run back a bit and one of them will pick it up.

I just stayed near the opening between the stones when it opens onto the chasm. You go down the path and either harpies start attacking or they don't. If they don't then I meditate until one of them interrupts. Then I run back, make sure a harpy is following, and just before I go back through the passageway I plant a trap (and one or two along the path as well) then run through the gateway. The harpy won't follow. Wait long enough for them to forget about you or they won't pick up the traps. Go do some other stuff instead, maybe, like killing wraiths for the ungrateful scoia'tael (and I'm on their side!) if they're being besieged. Or just wait a couple minutes and go back in. The harpies will be gone, the traps will be gone, a couple of nests will also be in notable disarray.
There are more nests in the harpy "hold" associated with the Harpy Queen quest. As a helpful hint, drop only one harpy trap at a time, if you drop more, they may not pick them up. Drop one when the harpies come around and run off a bit so you don't "distract" them or kill them off before they can pick them up. Once the trap is taken, you can put another down. There are four in/near the quarry, the last three are in the lair itself. Hope this helps.

I'd considered that after accidentally throwing off two Red Hazes in totally indiscriminate directions, and realized two of my traps had apparently been brought to the same nest . . . but then I decided I didn't want to waste time redoing the thing, and waiting two or three minutes every time I placed a trap... and there're always more Red Hazes and Harpy Traps to be found.

Right now I'm at the other side of the haze. No, I mean literally. Don't you people start getting ideas!

Jeffro: You're right. I actually had the wrong quest activated at the time in my journal, and that never occurred to me. That would've told me how many more nests i needed to destroy... but I still would've been searching everywhere this side of the mist to find the other nests.
