I am about to break my mouse. After killing everyone I got the gate key, went back to the side room and tried to turn the wheel to open the gate. But I cant get the stupid bar to fill up, I keep hit the left mouse button but Geralt will not spin the wheel. What in the heck am I doing wrong and how can this be fixed?
go to the game options and see if your mouse is all the way up? I had an issue where in one part of the game, I needed to adjust the mouse responsiveness to complete the task. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried already. The bar gets about half way then starts going back down.

Also, try disabling "Difficult QTE" (don't know if it applies here) and reduce your resolution for that particular moment.

The resolution bit may sound crazy, but it apparently works for some folks. Has something to do with refresh rates etc, I think.

I also don't recall reading if anyone had luck with it, but you could try remapping your "Fast Attack" to a key for just that part. I believe that would make the QTE require you to quickly tap a key instead of your mouse. (Don't wanna get spoilerish, but if this is the solution, it may cause trouble when you hit the first boss.)
I did some testing on that bit.

Difficult QTE doesn't seem to change it any. Remapping the key is possible, though. That may make it easier.

But, as I cautioned, if remapping is the only solution, you may be in for some confusion later. Best to see if graphics setting can help first.

This is a REALLY wierd bug. You'd think everyone would be affected by this if it existed.

I had a bug where I could not kill the guy (with the catapult or w/e) on the wall during P1 of the prologue. Left clicking my mouse always resulted in a miss.... first time I used space instead it killed him.

Buggy game... I'm waiting until at least 1.3 until I seriously play it. Just been messing around in Act 1 for now.
Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to try this now.
