Hello there, I have tried searching for a fix to some horrible stuttering mostly noticeable while running or looking around in game.

I get 55-65 FPS on high with some dips down to 45 in some combat. I turned Vsync off, all DOFs off, anti-aliasing off, and ubersampling is at 0.

My specs:
i7-2600K
6970 ati with 2GBs of Vram
8GB Ram
and plenty of extra hard drive space

If I turn everything to the lowest possible I get around 80-100+ FPS, but there is still noticeable stutter. It does seem to be tied with performance a bit, but there is definitely something wrong.

I searched the forums already but turned up either dead links, or solutions for problems only similar to mine. Please help, I really want to get into it as much as I liked the first game. :)

I'm assuming the dead links thing is referring to the "stutter fix" dll. The site that hosted it took it down, so a ton of links are broken since it was such a popular fix for this particular problem.

I have it backed up, though. Just drop the dll and .txt file in your Witcher 2/bin folder: Link

Thank you so much, this fixed it completely.

I made another backup in case someone also needs the fix and one of our links is down.
