Great game.
Not as good as witcher 1, this [witcher 2] is a port from Console to PC.

The controls are naff, the first time I saw press 'W' press 'A' press 'D' press 'S' [fighting the prison guard] my head dropped, I'm on chapter one, that tenticle boss, I can't bring myself to play it. havn't for a good few months, the witcher one was 100% better. maybe CDPR had a deal with microsoft.

I hope TW3 is not the same or I will go ape

The Witcher 2 was on PC a year before xbox (PC release: May-2011, EE+360 release: April-2012)

Still has more "gamepad" controls that pure keyboard ones, like in the first one. Still a good game and still very playable with key+mouse.

Yeah it's great

I'm curious of what you mean by "pure keyboard ones"? Also, if I recall, the Witcher 1 could be played entirely with a mouse and 2 buttons (lmb and rmb). Extra utility is nice, but it isn't necessary either.

I mean "classical computer way of play". Sorry for my english. You can play The witcher 1 with keyboard, mouse and keyboard+mouse. It has a lot of CRPG essence. With the second one (Which is a great game, but different) you can play with gamepad and, when you play with key+mouse, there are a lot of things that actually remind you of a gamepad. Is more like an action-RPG, maked for the instintive buttons of a gamepad.

Sorry for my writing, still learning in this kind of exercises :(
I agree, Witcher2 is one of the best RPG that were released last years. However it's not very role-play. Because you have to role-play hard-based witcher Geralt, not your own character.
