Made it thru the cemetary and into the courtyard and unable to locate the gate mechanism, I've been all over that courtyard and, no luck? Help.

The room before the courtyard had a locked door, and if you loot the people you just killed, one should have a key for that door. The mechanism is on the wall of that room.
