Game crashes every timeI approach Philippa's house. I just got me some Dwarven Immortelle, and the quest log tells me to go to Philippa. I can go up the stairs to her front door. Then a loading screen appears, and after 0,5 seconds or so, the game closes, without any error messages.
I don't know what's wrong, and I'm not able to continue my game. Do other people have this problem too, and how can I solve this?

Hope you have overcome this in the last 5 hours...

Anyway, there is a cutscene at that point that is probably freaking out your video card. Try using low settings at that point.

If that doesn't get you over it, I am not certain, but you may be able to do more on that quest line and come back. You might skip that one cutscene entirely.

Also, try loading a save a bit back from where the crash occurred.

Lowering the specs didn't solve this. I play with the lowest specs and 1920x1080. I lowered it to 1280x720.
I did another quest (infested mine), but that also did nothing.

Trying to load a save from a lot earlier will be my very last option. I will reinstall the game and patches, and then try again.
I'll let you know.

I think you are trouble-shooting this correctly. So, don't be afraid to simply send a save to CDPr and ask them to fix it!
As I said before, I did the quest infested mine, but I didn't finish it yet. Trying to finish it, also gave me the same crash to desktop. Also, in the conversation with (I forgot his name) in the royal blood quest, I got a couple of black screens, but the conversation continues.

I think it's not a defect in the game, but in my installation.

I reinstalled the game, applied the patches, and as far as I can tell, everything works now.

Hans, thank you for helping me!

EDIT:
I can't seem to mark my own solution as a solution. How can I close this topic?
