when I tried to cast quen sometimes it doesn't work.
Gotta press a few times.. I wonder if that's a bug.

He's a Dragon Age button spammer. The Witcher 2 is NOT a hack and slash! He needs to stop treating it like one. He doesn't deserve to play the game. God, he probably doesn't even know it was a book series.

Yep.
But especially hard in tight spaces like 1st encounter with Letho.
Most open areas aren't much of a problem, I can just run or roll.

He should just stick to TF2. ;)

Should play on easy, then you can sorta hack and slash since there is no enemy blocking (but that would hurt their ego!!) :)
