trust me when i say, your card is no where near lower than his card. just because the numbers of the card name itself are lower, doesnt mean it is a lesser card. Its all about the specs.

Cymbeline: Ahhh. I can't get TW2 to play on my system and now I have really mucked things up.
Firstly, I tried to uninstall hoping a reinstall would help, but now the Gog installer either won't start or thinks TW2 is still installed. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Secondly, I can't play the game as my mouse is delayed by several seconds and I think I am having a frame rate issue as movement is not smooth and is also delayed such that the game is unplayable and I am getting motion sick. I have the following:
Windows Vista
Intel (R) Core (TM) quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33 GHZ
4.00 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6450
Is it all pointless? Or shall I keep trying to run this game.
I did have a Navida card which I recently swapped out and the Navidia card was just as laggy (though the mouse may have been somewhat better, but not much).
I have tried to play on the lowest specs. I tried a few different screen sizes (resolutions?). Nothing seems to work. Patch or no patch, no difference.
Any ideas on where to go from here would be much appreciated.
Try running www.CCleaner.com There may be a lot of leftover junk in there and then try to do a fresh install of the game.Firstly, I tried to uninstall hoping a reinstall would help, but now the Gog installer either won't start or thinks TW2 is still installed. Any ideas on how to fix this?

coastie65: I am running it at Ultra High with an HD5770 which is lower than his card. Not to say I don't have a few minor issues, but nothing that really distorts te gameplay.

coastie65: Maybe so. I was thinking in terms that his card is of a later series and probably a bit better. I haven't really compared the specs though, to be honest. Until this rig, I was always Nvidia and pretty much know those cards ( still catching up on the later ones ), like the fact that the 9800GT is just a rebranded 8800GT. I am pretty sure that the 6450 is 256 bit and I know that the 5770 is 128 bit. As for the GPU's, Not really up to speed on that. ebbandblow

ebbandblow: well for a comparison, the 5770 that you have uses GDDR5 with a 128-bit interface whereas the 6450 with 512mb of GDDR3 runs at 256-bit which in reality is quite a bit slower still than the newer GDDR5 in the 5770. now there is also 1gb version of the 6450 which uses GDDR5 but the bandwidth is only 64-bit so it is still a lot slower than the 5770 in regards to memory. and then you have the core count which really separates the two. the 5770 has 800 cores whereas the 6450 has a tiny 160 cores. so just based on that you can see which card is superior. but i wouldnt dare try to catch you up on all the other cards in both nvidias and AMD's lineup since there is just too damn many of them now lol. :P
