eisberg77: haha, funny how many people have 2 copies of The Witcher 1. I have 2 copies as well, both retail versions. I have the original Retail version prior to the release of EE, and then I bought the game again for the EE version at retail.

1.) Steam copy "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut" (which terribly often crashes) :(
2.) Retail copy "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Platinum Edition" (which i bought because of Steam version constantly crashing)
3.) GoG copy "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut" (which i bought just to support GoG & CDPR)

p.s. Sorry for the offtopic (couldn't resist)! :D
Is the steam version known to crash alot? because I own the steam version and it crashes every hour or so... I did manage to beat the game though. Somehow

I have the Enhanced Edition as well as the Original release. I just downloaded the Director's Cut Patch as well as the Uncensoring Patch ( The first one was Censored in the States ) when they were released.

Some people like me, you and some others have experienced frequent repeated random crashes (with Steam version)... at least in my experience retail crashes a lot less frequently (with the last update)... granted i was playing on Win7 32bit machine (officially unsupported OS).

I might go out and buy a retail copy then, its fairly cheap so if theirs no difference i havent lost much.

i like a physical copy too.. and i only bought it recently from gog only.. alas i'm too far. if you don't mind posting it to me, it'll be great.
