just wondering if anyone is familliar with this problem. I had it on my GTX 480 and thought my video card was showing all sorts of artifacts. I went out and bought a GTX 560 and (To my extreme dissapointment) the problem was still there. As you can imagine, I'm getting pretty desperate with this.

It happes primarily all the way in the beginning when you wake up next to Triss. It's on the wood texture surrounding the bed.

I would if I knew how to make one.

The 560 was only untill the 480 got back from repair.

And there's bound to be more people with this problem.

EDIT: Just made screenshots with FRAPS. It doesn't show on it at all however. But at least it gives an idea of the area where it pops in.

Go to http://www.fraps.com/ and download the software. Run the software (FRAPS) before starting the game. By default, screen capture should be mapped to F10. The captured image is probably in C:\Fraps\Screenshots

I have tried making a video on youtube. After upload it looks horrible, but you can still see the flickering. Ill try to upload a higher quality one as well.

Here it's very obvious. Be sure to go to 1080p view mode.

This usually happens from a graphics driver setting.

Make sure you aren't forcing anything, and that your nvidia control panel is set to "Application Controlled".

How hot are you video cards getting? Higher temperatures can cause artifacts. And if this is the case, it's the reason that getting a new card didn't help.

It could be some driver problems, some OS problems, driver conflicts, i suggest to wait the nvidia nex 280.xx drivers.

Well I skipped through to this scene and I didn't test anything else and it happens every single time.

Driver settings were completely untouched btw, nothing changed. Newest drivers installed.

Can anyone else with an Nvidia card confirm that I'm the only one with this specific problem?

EDIT: Also, forgot to mention. This is running on a clean system install. Entire system was formatted and reinstalled.

I actually get this problem too, although it's only in a few scenes (in Triss' tent at the very beginning of the game, and during the cutscene at the start of Chapter 1 with Iorveth and Letho). It's annoying, but I can live with it since it's so rare.

For the record, I'm using a nVidia GTX 460, using the 275.10 drivers, I believe.

What about the reverse? People with an Nvidia card who don't have this problem?

I have a GTX 470 and I have never experienced graphical issues like this. I'm currently using the latest beta drivers, but no version prior to this has presented this kind of flickering textures either.

The only thing I can think of is to make sure you haven't changed any settings in the Nvidia control panel; and instead let everything either be switched off or application-controlled. Double-check this even if you're on a fresh install - Nvidia sometimes has some of these options turned on by default, I've noticed. Other than that, I'm fresh out of ideas, I'm afraid. :/

I have a Gtx 580 and have the same issue, no matter what driver version I use, clean install or not.

I have a GTX 560 Ti and had the same flickering boards in the tent as well but after making a few global setting changes in the Nvidia control panel and after starting a new game the flickering isn`t there . I will list the all global settings i`m using in hopes that it helps someone .
