Asking for help from someone with at least these specs.

4 gigs or more of RAM
a powerful video card with 896mb or more VRAM
a quad core CPU

And I need the game to be running at these settings.
http://imageshack.us/m/18/1407/tw2config.jpg

Also I need it to be someone without performance problems.

I want you to compare the two places in these screenshots.
The first one is important to be in the exact room.
http://imageshack.us/m/20/2661/tw2114.jpg

The second can be anywhere in Flotsam town.
http://imageshack.us/m/813/6064/tw2115.jpg

Make sure to be running and spin the camera around.

I need comparisons of the average and peak CPU usage of both areas.
I also need comparisons of the average and peak System RAM and Video RAM usage of both areas.

The reason I need this help is to find out where my bottleneck is.
In all areas before Flotsam the game ran smoothly at the settings I posted but when I reached Flotsam the game would stutter a lot and sometimes for long periods.

I need to know what differences are there between those two areas I posted.
And if Flotsam requires much more RAM, VRAM or CPU usage compared to the first area.

I'm 90% sure HDD is the problem get good SSD and you will never look back. For me most important is 4KB random read(and acces time)
http://www.anandtech.com/show/4346/ocz-agility-3-240gb-review/2
check this, one of the fastes on market hdd have 0.68MB/s vs 90MB/s fastes SSD and the random read is KING.

why don't you just post your system specs?
im not sure how u'd like your results but i replyed saved game to see how it tolls.

my rig:
Q6600 at 2.7ghz (OCed)
memory - 4GB single stick
GPU: 6870 1gb
OS: win7

in the room where the kind is outside my CPU is under roughly 70% strain. from low 60's to around 80%.
memory? not sure how to check mem strain. the game uses 860000 of my ram, though.
not sure how to test Vram either.

u ask us to check but dont provide easy ways for us to do that. i did my best :P
im having no issues with performances, BTW.
I think it may be the LOD Distance setting your using. Far is brutal on your video card. There is A LOT more geometry in Flotsam Than pretty much anywhere in the prologue. Try backing that down a little and see if that helps. Also you might want to change your texture memory size to medium and see if that gives your vid card a little more room to work.

HDD is problem now im 99% sure.

Too bad your assumption is wrong.

AMD cards will suffer some stuttering, this is well documented by other AMD users who have SSDs. There is not so much texture loading that an SSD is needed. That's just ludicrous. SSD is not the answer to his problem. Sorry but I'm laughing too hard right now.

@ OP the real answer is AMD did not have the final copy of the Witcher 2 to have driver optimizations for it at the launch with the 11.5 and 11.5 hotfix drivers. The Catalyst lead/manager has stated they found they need to make changes to the drivers for Witcher 2. The hotfix will be released either tomorrow or in a few days. Just be patient, it's coming.
- If you have a non-GoG install, has also been reported the DRM paul.dll can cause stuttering.

Also patch 1.1 for Witcher 2 should be out tonight.

I don't think it has to do with a hard drive.
Not everyone has stuttering in Flotsam and a lot of those people use regular hard drives.

I just need that comparison so I know how much each area uses then it will be easy to find my bottleneck.

Here are the save files for both areas.

And you can use EVGA Precision to find you vRAM usage if you have an Nvidia card. Not sure what would be the AMD equivalent.
