It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Optimise controls so they respond immediately.
Parry should not consume vigor.
The Spell/Bomb select panel should not require us to click on it to select something: just hover the mouse over and then release Ctrl.
Geralt must upgrade faster.Optimize the cities (I think because of NPCs) those frame rates drop in cities lower than Dagons toilet.

So those are my suggestions. Thumbs up if you agree... oh there is no thumbs up. Well then rate up!

- Change the way the game deals with items inside containers. When I go near one of them I don't want to see what's inside through a pop-up but rather open it and see through a graphic square-grid inventory. Or else it kills the immersion.

- Less orens! It's plenty of them.

- ALT key

- The ability to destroy shields with bombs.

- A more PC oriented game.

- Please listen to us. We are the one that give money to you.

- Keyboard mapping inside the game.

- Graphic options inside the game.

- No more blurred textures! Don't simplify the geometry, don't blur the textures! Expand the range where you see the detail on textures and polygons/geometry/mesh/models.

This would be my list, gathered mostly from kindly quoting some of the posters before me.

INVENTORY

* ability to sort inventory items alphabetically, by type of item, by value and/or by weight
* ability to filter on "junk", "potion", "bomb" and "oil" item
* ability to check if an item is already owned (especially formula, designs, but also weapons)
* ability to compare items in stores with items equipped, such as armor, weapons, etc.

COMBAT

* Fluider character animations

To quote "sweenish" : "I die way too many times because i throw a sign or swing my sword, and then geralt stands there like a lummox because i held down the key for my next action, usually parry, while geralt is still carrying out whatever i just told him to do. and then when he's done, it doesn't register that he should be parrying or running in any direction. i get killed way too much over this."

Absolutely. It seems the game insists on whatever animation is programmed to run to the end each time, while combat requires them to be much more fluid and reactive. It isn't uncommon for example to initiate a strong hitting move, then to realize that enemies have snuck up in Geralt's back, and thus to want to dodge (roll aside), or block, instead of continueing the offensive move. The game won't let me do at the moment.

If there was just one request to be taken into account, this should be it in my humble opinion. It should alleviate quite some complaints about the combat being "too difficult" (which it isn't, but still remains unnecessarily frustrating because of this).

* Combat log (and generally any quest log information) should remain displayed for longer

USER INTERFACE

* Allow broader hotkey customization

I assume you mean in-game, as it's about as broad as can be if you edit the actual ini file.
Indeed, yes.

There are features to be expected from a 2011 game, whichever style (cRPG, FPS, RTS, etc.) or publisher it is.

In the same way, I understand other players wanting to manage their sound/graphic options within the game. Their absence doesn't bother me, which is why I didn't quote those features, but they should still be there.

What are these features to be expected in a 2011 game? Oversimpliflying? Integration with social networks? Use of motion controls? Use of 3D monitors?

I don't need this shit, I want a game with a story, a world to explore, crafting, alchemy, dungeons, variety, difficulty, no console aspect on PC, the ability to save when I want like I want, a PC user interface, details in it, details in the game, LORE, LORE, LORE, non linearity, SDK, editors and modding utilities from the release, NO DLC, NO DRM, no internet connection required, no conformism, ONE FULL GAME not 44494894849 DLC of Facebook unlockable viral marketing shit. Maybe two or more DECENT expansions like in the past. A manual like that of The Witcher 1 or Sacred Gold, goodies, a game that lasts at least 50+ hours. I don't care if only the base game without the manual will be REAL, touchable, made of real material like plastic and paper and the other goods will be digital only but please don't dumb down my PC experience anymore! I'm a full grown adult. I don't want to play kids games anymore. Adult themes aren't sex and gore (Bioware anyone) but details, replayability, modding, good developers and so on.

The ability to choose what save game to save and to name your saves so you dont endup with thousands of saves.

Yeah, in Witcher 1 I spammed the quicksave button, like any other gamer, but only later found out it makes a normal save every time, not rewrite the quicksave slot like normal games. Of course you had to see it later in the game because the Load Game part has to read all the saves with screens and get really slow and cumbersome. I just deleted the older saves, but it defeats the point of a quicksave...

basically, I think they should have released a demo and let a lot of people play and ask them what can be better. But then again, it'd spoil the fun perhaps? The biggest need is a storage system.

I think they should have developed a unique piece of story and world for the demo like other developer did in the past. Like the Half Life demo for example.

True. I've made rpg's with rpg maker and while that's not impressive, you always forget about things. Things that are so obvious but you just never thought of. It's funny, when I arrived in flotsam I ended up carrying too much soon afterwards.

QFT.

the combat issue is really really hurting me. emitionally. there are a LOT of occasions where i press BLOCK and nothing happens. while im not really sure why (i HAVE vigor. im not in the middle of any other animation. just standing there) but about 30% of the block presses do nothing :(

a way to know which items u have or dont have when u look at schematics or mechants is second in line. at least THIS issue doesnt get my geralt die.....
Sell all junk button.

Make crafting materials weightless.
i would like the save files to be saved in one slot, not a new save every time i press the save option in the menu.

(does that make sense) lol
Geralds movements in different directions need to be tuned to be more fluid (when outside of combat)

hes feels a little choppy when you change his direction.

Already owned crafting/potion recipes should be marked while in the trading interface. Kind of hard to know what you already own.
