Am I the only one whose jaw dropped at the new intro video for the Enhanced Edition? Wow. Awesome CGI work.

The whole game deserves to be on a pedestal in the RPG Hall of Fame.
This game is really a treasure. CDProjekt has truly earned every ounce of good will pouring out from the EE release.

I don't if it's just me, but it feels like something changed in the last year or two with PC gaming and we stopped getting our faces spat in by cynical shitheads and industry hacks with regards to RPGs. We got the best CRPG of the decade and a brilliant content pack and console players got a stellar port that pushed the hardware and didn't insult anyone with a sub-30 framerate. That feels to me like a win-win and I wish every developer could get over their whining and take notice of how the professionals do it.

What intro video? All get is the same opening as the non-EE version.
Found the culprit. It was the remove_intros.zip mod. Seems like the only mods still working for me are the official DLC......

Yes, my jaw was also agape!
Amazing. Very impressive.

Unfortunately it appears it can only be watched once, then it's gone, well, except for youtube I guess. Strange, for such a great cinematic, but there's no way to replay-intro button
Graphically, and artistically it was impressive, but it unfortunately contradicts everything Letho says when you meet him for the last time.

*SPOILERS*

In that dialogue he mentions that Demavand was killed in his castle and that they used Sile to detect the guards, that all three assassins were involved, that they maneuvered through tunnels, and that they barely got out alive.

In contrast, the new video shows Letho sailing up to the King's boat and handily killing everyone. No Sile, no other assassins, no tunnels, no near death escape.

While I applaud the developer's artistry, this kind of ruined the ending for me.

It plays every time I start Witcher 2, so I don't know what's going on at your end.

I believe that he thinks the O.P. is talking about the first scene in the prologue, with Triss and lovemaking etc, not the actual intro scene (Cinematic Splash Sequence Screen). It's the only way his statement lakes logical sense.

indeed, i wondered about that. however, letho wasn't extremely specific, and the only thing that sticks out to me from what he said is they had to "navigate a labyrinth", which may have been metaphorical. after all, he's not as dumb as he looks. did he actually say he killed him in the castle, and that S&A were there? and i figured his awesome freeze bomb was a result of sile's magic.

also, the outro they added is also great, gives me a strong desire for witcher 3
If I'm not mistaken, the director of the new intro is Mr Tomasz Bagiński, a Polish artist. He was an Oscar nominee in 2003 (for "The Cathedral") and he also did the intro of the original Witcher game :-)

Not for me. It plays every time I start the game.
