I have played through and beaten the game once and I'm currently on my second play through. It seems to never rain in this game for me, only raining 2 times total. In the first witcher, it was always raining. Is there a way I can mess with the chance of rain or something?
Lobinden: rained about three times for me. It was very epic - going through the woods with all the rain. It rained once in my time in Flotsam. My two cents.
i agree, it hardly ever rained for me. i think it rained a total of 5 times in the entire game... more 'realistic', true, but its one of the reasons the game was nowhere NEAR as atmospheric for me as the first game was... i really loved the rain in the first game... seemed like it was perpetually raining, which is what made the world really 'work' for me... so dark, so murky, so depressing... brilliant.
It rained a LOT more on my Iorveth playthrough than my Roche playthrough, especially in Vergen. A fluke, maybe? I don't think I saw a single drop of rain in all of Chapter 2 on Roche's side.

They should mod in some kind of cheat where you can press the movement keys or joystick in a bunch of different directions to make it rain. It'd look like a rain dance and I swear, it would add 20 hours to future playthroughs that would be spent just making it rain all over.

Yeah, being in vizima for the first time and having poor people moaning on the side of the road, while others ran for shelter from the rain. It really was an atmosphere that I haven't felt in the witcher 2 yet. The closest I came was running through the forests outside of flotsam

Hehehe. Forward, Forward, Back, Back, Left, Right, Left, Right, RMB, LMB, and space = rain? :D

That's literally exactly what I was thinking. +1 for good Konami memories :)
