I purchased the game and installed it properly on release day. I was able to download and activate the Troll dlc. I had a couple friends give me dlc codes that they were not going to use for pre-order items. I entered and redeemed the 'Ultimate Swordman's Outfit' no problems yesterday. Today I successfully redeemed 'Mysterious Merchant' and 'Mage's Outfit'. They all show up under Downloadable Content when I run the launcher but now when I try to download, the launcher will loop in a Connecting to Server>Downloading>Verifying loop several times before stopping. If I go to the Downloadable Content section to check the status of whatever dlc I tried to download it says "downloading" with a pulsing box beneath the dlc description. I know this is not normal as when I installed the Swordman's Outfit it was simple, download...then install. I researched this and tried the following:

-Double checked admin rights for the launcher and my account
Result: Assigned properly. Note, the original dlc installed perfectly fine 1 day ago.

-Found the registry entries for the dlc and deleted them as was described in these forums as a fix.
Result: Problem persisted. Registry entries re-populated upon relaunching and attempting re-download of any dlc.

-Ran patcher.exe to reset anthing
Result: No change beyond having to reset video settings.

-Complete uninstall>Reboot>Re-Install
Result: No change

I see that the devs are saying that it is not them under the news for the dlc but this is erroneous. It appears to be a poblem with the launcher "verifying" the file as I have opened the download folder and actually watched the dlc file be created, grow in size, and then be deleted right at that phase. This was not happening a day ago for me and I have ruled out every possible conflict on my end that I can think of. They mentioned tweaking the launcher today, whatever they did it has destroyed my ability to download dlc. Does anyone out there maybe have an idea of a workaround beyond what I have tried above? Thank you for taking the time to read this and in advance for any help or advice you may have.

I am attaching an example screenshot of the launcher just hung up and the pulsating "Downloading..." icon I described.

I have exactly the same problem. I tried to edit regedit and run patcher. Now I can't get the dlc's as I'm stuck in a loop of downloading and verifying.

2 days ago, I was able to download the dlc and install them, they just didn't work, but at least I wasn't stuck in that loop.
Be patient, dear valued fellow gamers. Have you check the official site regarding Troll Trouble DLC is in trouble? ;). Have faith in CDPR.. they are probably overwhelmed now not expecting the crowd is that huge in thinking PC gaming is dying :P

We are currently experiencing problems with the Troll Trouble DLC. We are working on a solution for this problem. Good news is that the solution to this problem should solve all recent problems with the DLC. The bad news is that there is the problem.

UPDATE 1:57 AM CET: We've returned to the old way of serving the DLC but this doesn't mean that it solves everything. Most of you will be able to download the DLC. Some of you probably won't. We know what's the problem - it resolves around the DLC CRC being cached but can't do much about it at this very moment. This issue is very important for us as we understand how you feel. We will try to address this issue with a support software in the mean time and this problem should be solved finally with the incoming Patch1 - early next week.

As for the DLC Outfit i believe it's mostly the same tieing to the same DLC server too.

@Maul_inc
ty for letting me know I am not the only person scratching their heads over this. Whatever they "Fixed" two days ago has messed up the entire dlc process it would appear.

I looked into this more after trying THIS suggestion and now my troll dlc is bugged and in the same boat as everything else. Huge problem considering my save is now corrupt and I can not play the game untill this is fixed. Apparently this is a serious issue so anyone thinking of trying this that has the troll dlc working (or anything else)...don't do it. You will just more than likely end up in my boat.

Official news on this problem located: HERE

Edit: lol, link was posted above this post as I typed. TY for the input...guess I will just have to hold off playing again till next week.

Hooray! the dlc's are working now. But only because some friendly person shared the dlc files with me.

This is really simple, just copy the dlc files to CookedPC subfolder in The Witcher 2 folder, and ignore the launcher.

So when you want to launch the game without going through the launcher, just go to the bin subfolder and run witcher2.exe :-)

Of course you will need the decrypted dlc files, and since this info is already bordering on illegal, I won't put up a link to those files.

I know, stupid laws, but since these dlc's are free, I think my post is pretty harmless

So, paying customers have to wait for a patch while others can play the DLC just fine. (Definitely not saying you're one of those people, you make that quite clear) Great, just like every other DRM scheme. Quite ridiculous, especially on GOG.

The Polish language downloaded and installed just fine, but this Troll DLC ends up in an infinite loop. I'm getting quite tired of it actually.

Trust me. I bought the Collector's edition (Disc version, as I wanted the Geralt statue and the other physical bonus stuff).

Anyway, CDPR has promised a patch early next week, so try and be patient, and you will be able to enjoy the Vodka drinking troll :-D
Well, At least you get a DLC. I was told I had an invaild number so no DLC or Swordsman Suit or whatever it is. Also no Troll Quest either. Not worried about that though as it will most likely show up later anyway as a standard DLC like the last game.

Try using your dlc codes when the patch has been released early next week. CDPR have stated that they have identified the cause of these problems, and it will be rectified with the patch. :-)

Ok. I had forgotten about that. I'll probably be hanging around Flotsam for that long anyway the way things are going. : )

Yeah. There sure are a lot to do in Flotsam if you like to explore and do quests. :-)

May I suggest joining a Fightclub and how about trying to find the ducks that are constantly quacking outside the town :-D

LOL, I have enough to keep me busy without looking for ducks. : ) Because of the WASD thing, I haven't as yet gotten into the Fist Fighting nor have I started the Arm Wrestling.
