DEAD! *sighs*

Geralt died after trying to slay a kayran beast. R.I.P.

But it sucks that I managed to keep him alive for some 10 minutes and hadn't really figured out the mechanics of this particular fight. Like where to place the trap, which tentacles are not possible to trap...

An intelligent man learns from his own mistakes. A wise man learns from the mistake of others! Guess I'm not wise but not dumb either!

Aw well, was going to continue this run on Hard... but I was #1 USEast Diablo classic HC Ladder for a long while in 2001 before moving to LOD and then it was 100x Mephisto runs a day, Hell diff. And a power shortage or HD crash killing my lvl 90+ toon hurted more than the kayran killing my Geralt because I made a noob move in that fight.

SCREW HARD DIFF. (that would be like going D2 vanilla softcore when dying in HC)

I'm restarting Insane! =) Hardcore FTW!

Wow! Bummers, man. But I am very impressed! Congratulations are still in order.

I wouldn't make it out of the prologue. The dragon gets me at least once, every time. Not the run across with the birds-eye view but the gauntlet with the overhangs and guards to fight through. I forget the name of that section. I just know that would end me.

I think I would have a good chance before and after that...up to the point your Geralt bit it.

On insane, I always do the dragon first to get it out of the way :) unfortunately the second dragon part is kinda a ways away and he has a habit of swiping me

Good luck on the insane, I'm on Ch. 1 and fearing the upcoming Kayran :D

Kayran INSANE tips pls - SPOILER

So, I trained a few times in Hard and got pretty good at passing the QTE point without even being injured. But still haven't figured out how to pass the final part, the broken bridge while that thing throws rocks at us, in the same condition.

I Quen up and roll forward, sometimes it works and I finished him but he could still kill me a few times (keeps throwing me back and then no Vigor for more Quen). Doesn't matter where I stand in the bridge, which side I try to run up, etc. Is there a better and safer way before I try it again the Insane way?

You can find cover to rest, get energy and hp back.
to be on topic: insane difficulty might not be for me.. I play too recklessly. Last time I died on act 1, wanted to kill the last monster in the forest, I had little hp left but so did the monsta. then bam, suddenly i1m dead.. got backstabbed from behind.
I have restarted and got even more careless, died 3 times in different parts of the prologe..
I haven't gave up yet, now I'm again in act 1.. wonder if I can even make it to the Karyan :D

I have a video ... minimal movement method.
Quen and dash up the left side of the bridge, even if I don't roll, the path I take always gets me knocked forwards.
Then it's a matter of making a run for the end zone. Don't attempt to quen again.
