Hey guys, I was doing the quest to talk to Cedric and am unable to talk to him. Then I started walking around town and cannot speak to anyone in the town. Only thing I can do is put out fires :(. I was wondering if this is normally how the game plays or if it's a bug?

If anyone has a fix or can tell me if that's how the game is meant to be played that would be appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem and uninstalling/reinstalling the program seems to have done nothing. Even after deleting my saves I'm unable to interact with any npcs even if I start an entirely new game. Has anyone else run into this?

I too have this problem...doesn't matter if I load saved games from days ago...still not able to talk to anyone...so this game is dead until it gets fixed...

I used to have this problem with talking to people in town.

Just relax, don't stress about it and be yourself.

Don't try and force conversation just let it flow naturally.

You've acknowledged that you've got a problem and that's always the first step.

everything worked fine after 11.5b hotfix RC5 - the only thing I can think of is the 11.5 CAP 4... I will unistall cap4 and see what happens (goodby to CF support in shift2 if that is the problem)

oh nice - I just saw your link after I posted - CAP 4 huh.... damn! I was finally able to play shift2...oh well Witcher 2 is better =)
