I might just be blind but i searched for a clear awnser to whereas the GoG patch 1.2 is located, the launcher doesn't update my game so i figured i must download it seperately.

Could anyone please explain this for the GoG version?

If you have updated the launcher to version 1.1 it should update to 1.2 automaticly.
You could also try to run the patcher.exe file in the installed The Witcher 2
directory to reset the launcher.
Done the patcher.exe file, haven't updated my launcher i admit, where can i find the update for it?

You acquire only 1.1 from GoG. Afther that all versions of the game are the same. Consequence: just get 1.2 from thewitcher.com.

To point it out again: It's important that you install 1.1 from GoG first (found in your My Games tab, when clicking on The Witcher 2 and scrolling all the way down) and THEN patch to 1.2.
