When I download Troll trouble it downloads and verifies it but when I go back to DLC, click on troll trouble the icon is changed to green, but still says it is downloading, see screenshot. Anyone has this problem too?

Thanks,

Based upon your description, I find I am having a similar problem (if not the same).
I can download troll trouble, but after verifying it kills the data and starts downloading all over again, in an infinite cycle.
It is not possible for me to influence this process. Everytime, as soon as the download is finished, the Launcher starts to overwrite the .dlc file.
Killing the launcher after it completes also kills the verification process, and as soon as thats finished the download starts again... you get the idea.
No solution on my side so far...

I had the cycle problem too (always restart-download), then I switched off firewall (I use avast). The this download-cycle problem ceased to occur but intstead the above described similar problem comes (which also seems to have the same result but with a little different outlook).

I use avast, too. But in my case the download cycle persists after deactivating it.

#edit: no other firewalls in use...

Did you return to the launcher after pressing download? Because for me the download didn't start until I returned to the launcher. Also with installing you go and press install in the dlc-page and then return to launcher so it starts installing.

But that exactly is our problem.
There is no "install". The launcher just downloads, verifies and downloads again and again and again.

edit: I am aware that one has to return to the launcher for the download to start ;)
Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the problem that occurs.
The title of the OP is misleading so far, as our problem is not the impossibility of download (that works just too well -.-) but the impossibillity of installation.

Ah sorry, I must've misunderstood the first post then. Have you tried running the game as an administrator?

Am trying right now, but with limited hopes of success, since I have UAC deactivated.

#edit:
Problem remains. The download repeats after verifying.
Troll dlc is trolling me *sigh*

I have been looking at the witcher2 site apparently its to to the launcher , it states it is mismatched between the launcher & DLC which will be resolved when Patch 1.1 when it comes out apparenly in the next couple weeks.

Thanks for the information.
This "resolution" is but a bit disappointing, since even though I have precious little time to play I will be far gone from the first act within the next couple of weeks.
Not satisfying!
If this game was not such a masterpiece I would be inclined to start flaming ;)
Thanks all the infos.

I wait for this patch then (have no better option),

There's a sticky post by support now.
It tells us to close the launcher and run patcher.exe to reset launcher options.
Contrary to what the post says, IT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM FOR ME.
But maybe It'll work for you once you try it?
ONCE now it has worked... only to reject me with "invalid code" after verifying!
I am damn nearly raging now.
Tried again and stuck again in endless download cycle.
There's an alternate route you can take to get this dlc up and running, it doesn't use the game launcher. It's what I ended up doing after several failed attempts to install the DLC the proper way.

First you need to visit this link and download the .rar file.
http://www.mediafire.com/?3v941nnn9b18nsx

Once it's downloaded, extract it somewhere. Open the folder up and inside you will see the troll.dzip file. Copy and paste that file into your C:/program files/The Witcher 2/CookedPC folder. If all went well you should now be able to pick up the quest off the notice board in Flotsam.
I'm using Avast Internet Security on Windows 7 64-bit and haven't had any issues :/
