bullsheet: thank u wooglah .. i ran crysis 2 on extreme settings n got steady 30 fps ( i don mind 30 as its still smooth ) .. i hope ill b able to aleast put this on medium high

wooglah: Well it's too early to tell if HIGH is the right word, but you will be able to run the game properly for sure. You will have to disable some effects and possibly use lower resolution if you decide to try high graphic settings.

RagingChaos: I wonder how my rig will handle The Witcher 2. It runs Crysis 2 at a 40~50 FPS on high settings @ 1920X1080

Windows XP Pro SP2
AMD Athlon64 X2 6400+ Windsor Core
4GB PC6400 DDR800 w/ 4-4-4-12 timings
2 Geforce 9800GTX 512MB in SLI
You should be fine. I think there is SLI support in nVidia's latest drivers. I'm not sure how that oldish Athlon 64x2 and the 512MB graphics cards will do on High or Ultra. (Two 512MB cards in SLI still give you just 512MB working memory, not 1GB.)
u shud b fine .. crysis 2 was realy well optimised .. if this 1s too .. v shud all b fine

How about me

amd athlon II X2 3.0ghz and 5 gigs ddr3 ram and a gtx 450 1gig video card
I have a questions: my CPU is Intel Pentium D 3.0 while the minimum is Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz

And somehow, a website says I dont meet the minimum requirement. I just dont get it? Can anybody explain please
Is the Pentium D a dual core? That could be what its going off of, and not the processor speeds.

Pentium D is a different architecture (Netburst). I can't say anything polite about Netburst, so I'll just say it sucks hind teat.

Your Pentium D 3.0 scores 812 on Passmark. In comparison, the very bottom of the Core 2 Duo food chain, the E1200 (1.6 GHz Allendale) scores 894, and the minimum required CPUs (approx. the Conroe E6550 and Windsor 5000+) score 1454 and 1361, respectively.

Absolutely no Netburst CPU can meet the game's requirements, at all.

I'm pretty sure the Pentium D processor family is below that of the Pentium Core 2 Duo. Which is probably why you were told you don't meet the minimum requirements.

Edit: Bleh. cjrgreen already answered your question. :p

How about me?

Intel Q9400
4 GB ram
GTS 250
ALL

Please check this website out to see if you PC meets the minimum requirements to run The Witcher 2 or any other game for that matter:

PLEASE DON'T.

That site is incompetent. It hasn't the faintest idea what dedicated VRAM is, and it mixes up Intel processors.

You should be fine. One reviewer pushed the game all the way to Ultra settings on a quad core and GTS 250, but his frame rate wasn't too good. I'd expect it would play comfortably on High.

Can someone tell me where my graphics card falls with respect to minimum/recommended? I'm not worried about not playing, but these days you need a degree to tell what your graphics card is capable of.

It's a GTX 260, with 896M video ram.

Other than that my system splits the minimum/recommended
(Phenom X3 720 @2.8 GHz / 8 GB RAM)
Anybody have a 6870 paired with a Phenom II X4? How does it run?
I'm hoping nVidia cards don't have goofy bugs like in TW1. I remember it looked great but all the lighting was shining through walls. I had to disable SLI to fix it I think...
My specs:

Core i7 920
6GB DDR3
HD 4870

Now, I am sure I can do High. But advice from you guys would be obliged.
