Screw the graphics, ScepticMatt :-)

Up until just recent years ive always had crappy computers. I played Gothic 1 on the lowest possible res and still thought it to be just only the best game i ever played!

Minecraft can be seen as a testament to just that. Gameplay beats Graphics in fistfights no matter how much you bet on it :D

So while enjoying the gameplay and story now, you get to enjoy omfg graphix on your next playthrough. I did this with Crysis for example. I went from "low" to "maximum pown" and i am telling you, it was a brand new game :D

Fjellbukken: Screw the graphics, ScepticMatt :-)
So you think it will run, i.e. no "we won't let your start" message or 10fps? :D

I know how you felt btw. Until my first PC, I always bought gold-games collections or the like. Got some nice games like thief or diablo this way. Sadly I lost 2/3 of my CDs. I might pick them up on gog some day. Also I'm still very happy with 3 year old laptop, it's just that it's Pro GPU wasn't really meant for gaming :)

Have a nice day ... or night :D

Sorry to say this but in my opinion Minecraft isn't a game

Then i look forward to you redefining "a game".

therpgstore: I also wish to know:
Windows 7 64bit
i7 920
8gb DDR3
ATI 5970

I mean i wish to know if i can run the game with max settings o.O
If any rig can max it out at Ultra, that one can.

warwon: I'm a wonderin myself

I have in basic terms:

Intel Quad Core at 2.4Ghz
4GB of DDR 2 800Gz Ram
ATI 5770 1GB GDDR5
4TB of disk space
Well, 5770 = 4870, approximately, and a 4850 is "recommended", so I think that's High for sure and a fair bet to reach Ultra. Especially if that quad core is the old workhorse E6600, not something less.

ScepticMatt: Hi there .. I'm torn .
I'm extremely hyped about this game, but my GPU is very weak.
should I even bother pre-ordering or wait until I get a new PC in a few moths?
I would be fine with 720p@low or something like that

Intel C2D T9400 2.53 Ghz
FireGL V5700 512M (~3650M with extra VRAM)
8GB DDR3 1066
Win7 x64

other specs here (W500):

It's a bit of a concern, because the V5700 (3650) is well below the "minimum". Graphics performance may not be enough to get both a playable framerate and nice eye candy, or you may be able to make it meet your needs with some tweaking.

You may also want to experiment with the FireGL vs. consumer drivers.

Wazhai: And how would it run on my setup? I hope to be able to play it on medium at least with a stable framerate. Thanks in advance!

E6500 2.93GHz
3GB DDR2 RAM
Windows 7 Home Premuim 32-bit
GTS 450 1GB
I'll guess medium to high, at a satisfactory framerate. One reviewer got Ultra on a GTS 250, which is a lesser card, but he had a quad core, and he only got 20 fps.

Fjellbukken: It`ll suck for you if TW2, just like TW1 does not support dual GPU`s :D
Oh, I don't know... I remember checking it (TW2) out on Crossfire'd Radeon HD36XXs (don't remember the exact model) not too long ago and it worked like a charm. :) Only problem was ATI seems to have removed the option to hide that silly "ATI Crossfire X2" icon, or at least I couldn't find it in the CCC at first glance...

How dare you? :<

fastlane88: most likely low maybe medium
Hmmmm...yeah...maybe...low...medium. Actually no. It will fail for sure.
Dam it I just bought it, lets see if I can run it :)
Any guesses as to how well my

Windows 7 64 Bit
E8400 @ 3.6Ghz
4 GB RAM
9800GTX+ (pretty much identical performance in benchmarks to a 4850 512 MB)

will handle it? I'm hoping for highish settings at a steady 30fps on a 1680x1050 monitor.
i7 920 2.7 ghz
8 gb DDR 3
win 7 x64
GTX 580.

Will I get good 3D FPS at near max settings?

Well, a GTS 250 (which is a refresh of the 9800 GTX+) pulled Ultra settings in one reviewer's hands, but that was with a quad core, and only 20 fps.

You have a very strong dual core, so I'd be surprised if you couldn't do High settings.

Yah, kinda what I was thinking. Meh, even if I have to go closer to medium it'll be fine.
Well, how well will my PC go?
*GTX 460 768mb
*6gb RAM
*Intel core i7 870
My body is ready.

Hey Hey hey, stop right there. No one's seeing ANYTHING until everyone gets to play it.
