I'm playing The Witcher 2 steam version on a Windows 7 64bit

During Act II I got same issue twice :

the keyboard movement keys or shortcut are no more responding but I can go to menu with ESC key and then navigate
for Mouse only CAM movement work, no button works
so I cannot control at all the character

the strange part is that if I save the game (F5 still works) reboot the PC and load the savegame the problem is still there.

But if I load another savegame made before the issue append I got keyboard and mouse functional, then I reload latest savegame the issue come back.

my keyboard is a Logitech G19 and the mouse a Logitech G5

Sounds like you have had the same thing happened to you, as is discussed in this thread. It is rare that it gets stuck in the save file, so to speak, and I haven't read of a fix for it; once it happens, you must reload an earlier save. :(

Ah, right, that might work. Sometimes not even movement keys work, and there are no monsters around, however. :(

i think it might be related to the bomb/knife,trap throwig button and or the "surreder"special function key,i get it a lot when i try to use a bomb, i use a fang game pad and my special function(surrender fight) button is rite below my "use pocket weapn key , i have a feeling that i might be hitting both at the same time causing the mouse and key board to stop respondig , i m gonna disable the special fuctio key and see if that does any thing

now i'm ready to snap! trying to cross the mist in act2 and i lock up against the 1st drauger every time , then my guy decides to jump out of the safe zone to attack some ghosts , the control issues really need to be addressed , quen+ throwing a zerk-sun will freeze the keyboard every time , gee,i'd like to play the game ,i.e. choose my targets ! not have my guy jump clear across the screen to attack an ememy that isnt even a threat ! only to die because i'm out of the safe zone and o'll gerhaut is determind to hop around attacking guys outside the safe zone!,fix the damn controller issue! ,i bet this is why they had to delay the console version, my rant is done,yet i dont feel better
