I've read common posts about this issue occuring with some shopkeeper quest. Bbut mine occurs right after thee final cutscene after the final battle of the "Kings Curse" quest! Please help me, I've tried everything (almost).;;back tracking saves, updating to 1.2,etc.

Please help! What the Hell did I pay all this money for a defective game, from a developer with no options of support contacts!? Thats why I came here as my last and only option!

No help AT ALLL.....not even an encouraging comment to let me at leeasst know someonees reading! Kind scary because a guy with tihe same EXACT issue on here and many, many, many other tech sites on the net without any ideas or comments!

are there ANYWAYS to contact an actual Tech from GOG or CD Project via email, perferably telephone?

Whats the exact problem mate? I feel for you,but you would get a better response if you where more specific i think. The game goes black at this very specific point and what? does it crash? or are you just getting a black screen with sound effects? whats your PC specs?

Also, http://www.en.thewitcher.com/support/ at the very bottom of that page is the option to send a in-depth email to CDPR's tech support people,describe your problem in as much detail as possible and they will most likely respond quite quickly.

I get a black screen, the game does not stop working persay nor does the game close or lockup. You can still hear the ocean or Geralt walking if you continue moving forwaard and the program still allowws me to minimize with Alt+Tab. It occurs at the very end of the quest "King Helsen Curse" after the final cutscene where the king stabs the spirit of the executed witch with the spear head.

I have tried:

1.updating grahpics drivers

2. Downloaded and installed patch 1.2

3. turned the graphics to low

4.trying to quick save then reloading also does not work

5. tryed loading an older save

i had this once. it has nothing to do with hardware, drivers, etc.

at that point, you have to speak with henselt, but he is not in the tent, the game fails to "teleport" him to you for the cutscene i guess. what i did was, went back a save, made sure he WAS in the tent before going in to start the cutscene.

edit: hmm, i think i misread the first time. is the black screen right after the exorcism cutscene, or did henselt told you to go to his tent, you get the BS when you go to the tent??

I had this a few times at different points during the game.

I just reloaded a previous save and got on with it.

I think once the problem repeated (ie black screen again) but only once. The rest of the time I was able to progress. How many times have you tried re-doing the section OP? Just once or twice or many times.

NOPE........I have liqued cooling throughout the chassis.... All hardware and chassis are alwways under 29 degrees C

First: post your spec here.

Second: I have black screens a few times. And all I did was to click my mouse. I think it happen because of the dual core or quad core and the graphic itself which cannot synchronize all the commands at once and give result at the same time.
