I think I forgot about quen at the end, but had plenty health and had found a somewhat safe spot to recuperate.

My friend came over with his rig and hooked up to my 32" LCD tv. You can see the Kayram's movements sooo much easier on a big screen.

And yes, he found a lot of sweet spots. He basically knocked off the two limbs from the left and would run there for cover. He didn't use Quen once.

But, I would assume that is not the norm. Most people would need to use Quen a lot during this fight.

why dont you save your game, and upload it to megaload, then we can play it for you? They you still have your game back.

Otherwise, you play others'game for the rest

I finally beat the bugger after probably a dozen tries. My biggest problem was seeing the damned quick-time prompts. I think I died about 7 times before seeing the prompt to ride the tentacle. Then I died on the tentacle twice. Bloody hell, that was annoying. But it was satisfying as hell to see those kayren meat chunks flying after all that.

At the end after Cutting off three tenticles and the ride, I was in my "SAFE" spot ( by the bridge abutment where the feet are ) figuring out what to do next and didn't have a clue. I took of between Kayran and the bridge and saw the concrete slab and took off up that. Turned out to be the right move. Talk about blind luck. : )

I appear to have to same problem. Killing the tentacles is easy, but I just can't seem to get past riding the tentacle with the quicktime actions. The action bar seems to fill up when I left-click but just when it fills up the tentacle drops me :/ I've tried dozens of times, to no avail.

If anyone is willing to help me I would very much appreciate it. Here's the link to my autosave if someoe would be so good as to kill the damn monster for me :)

Just mash the QTE buttons. They are Right click to hop on, left click repeatedly to stab the tentacle, and then after you stab the tentacle and that QTE bar disappears, I just mash the Space bar and I never miss it

Some seem to be having the problem where the third phase doesn't trigger. On easy (not sure if you need difficult QTE off) there is no RMB and spacebar prompt. In addition to that, I tried not filling up the gauge on purpose and it does not affect the outcome of the battle (third phase triggers and you just do what you usu. do)

It shouldn't be an issue. As long as you fill up the bar with repeated, fast LMB - the tentacle will throw you whether you hit space or not. Once on the ground, then Quen up and run up the bridge. When you get to the top the animation takes over for the ending cinematic.

Hitting space every time for me is the difference between life and death. If you miss that last QTE, you get thrown into the side of the bridge and insta-killed

That's weird because I usually get thrown onto the ground, not into the bridge. And I say usually, because like most here, I've done it many times! LOL.

Lol, well lucky you. I guess I'm speaking from only playing on Hard difficulty, I came *this* close to throwing my keyboard out the window because the first time, I couldn't see that it was SPACE that I had to press, and so I died. Then I pressed SPACE too late. And the third time, the game clipped during that part, and I died again. >.>

i died once fighting it .. Drink mongoose drink swallow .. Piss him off n then quen n yrden n alot of runnin around .. Funny part is i found kayran 2 b easy .. The 1 place i died for like 8 times was the nekker cave near the harbor .. Theyd all jump on me as soon as i enter the cave

I can hop on to the tentacle, and I can start stabbing the tentacle, but no matter how much I stab it the QTE bar does not dissapear and I can never get to the part when I can press the space-bar (i've tried pressing it anyway, but it doesn't work) and get thrown to the bridge. I always get thrown on the ground. I've tried both easy and normal difficulty. The main problem is that if I click too fast the LMB nothing happens, not sure if it's a problem with my configuration or specs, so I have to click it slowly.

Once on the ground I am supposed to run up to the bridge - except that there is no bridge to run up because the sequence where it starts throwing rocks at me doesn't happen.
