coastie65: Well, I guess that's one way to beat it. : ) I'm still playing with Kayran, mostly semi seriously. After all the troubles I've read about on here, I haven't really gotten too serious with it. Go in, run around, cut off some tenticles, and sometimes go for a tenticle ride, but that is about it. I think it may be Kayran 20 and me 0 at this point. : )
Danceofmasks: Nah, the fight itself is not difficult.
The problem is, for a lot of people (playing on low settings as far as I can tell), the quicktime events don't actually work.
At all.
So, while they don't have a problem with the fight, it can't be won.
Good point. I just took care of it. I was well versed on the tenticle amputations, but got lost after that. One thing I did notice, on the mouse icon that comes up and you have to fill the bar. the first time it was right click, the second was left click, so if you right clicked again, nothing. After the tenticle Ride again, I figured that wasn't going to get me anywhare and started running up what looked to be a concrete slab. About the time I reached the end and wondered what the heck to do next, it went into auto and game over for the Kayran. It took a while and all the potions I had taken had ran out. Guess I won't have him ( or her and it could've been a her, as it had the same disposition as my ex wife ) to play with anymore. I was playing on an ati HD5770 card which did fine, and changed it last night to an Nvidia GTX 560ti. Made a bit of difference as it was a bit easier to control movement, or so it seemed.
