Lookie what I found:
http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=143856&page=1&pp=15

Bartek Gawel's 3D concepts. My mind is blown a little, all of them look so amazing and, hey, Aryan is quite handsome without that silly emo haircut. I wish we could see more raw 3D and early concepts, those inspire me the most. Siiigh.

If you flip through pages, you'll find what I'm pretty sure is Geralt's full body model ;)

You can find more art on his blog, but it's mostly stuff you can find in the artbook and scattered around websites.

Feel free to turn this into general TW2 art thread, we really need one :D

Zbrush is an amazing program, and those are amazing models. The king one was hilarious because there are all these heads, and then you see one that's technically the full model :)

The new forum that we're supposed to be getting sometime in the next week and a half-ish has a "fan art" category.
zBrush is amazing, I've been trying to learn it to improve my sense of form and space. It's hard. But fun.

The King's head made me laugh. I've never noticed the tongue sticking out, for one...

Didn't you learn anything from the last time we looked at fan art? :D

(j/k, I'll be camping in that sub-forum like crazy)
Nice find. Thanks for sharing. :)
Cool find. It shows that the two sorceresses don't look as equal as I thought. I guess it's the hair that made me think that. But from the look of their faces they're distinctively different. ^^

The variety in faces is astounding! I could stare at them all day, waaah. The final models are slightly different from his concepts, though.

That's to be expected. I guess the final models / ingame models "just" use the normal maps created with the help of these high-poly-models. They look equally good, but not quite as perfect. The performance is much much better though.

For my next playthrough - after finishing TW1 one more time, maybe two more times (for different savegames) - I definitely have to look closer to spot the differences. As I said, I tended to think the women are all pretty much look the same, but it's not the case actually...

Very likely. The final models are super detailed, but I find they often look washed out due to lighting. Characters go from looking super realistic to looking like shiny plastic dolls. Heh.

I did a quick Philippa comparison for you :) It's mostly her nose and jaw. WARNING: Spoilers for Act 3, Iorveth's path. I couldn't find a good non-spoilery image, sorry.

*ahem* Roche IS Clint Eastwood! :D
CDPR have some insanely talented artists. There is not a single character in RW2 that does not look great. Thanks for the find.

Wow, that is some awesome work!
Hmm one more program to learn
the guy seems nice and he's a god tier artist not just with zbrush. CDPR did right to get him.

Those were fantastic renderings and quite realistic! That was great dnna thanks for posting the link. =)

Although I did notice the shiny head syndrome you mentioned but after a quick trip to the salon they will come out with a nice tan and powder for filming. =P

I kinda thought the Phillippa comparison was a bit off. I mean as you look at the before model from the bridge of the nose it has a slight slope whereas in the finished one there is no slope.

The chin and jawline isn't right either. What do you think?

Am I completely off my meds?
