I toggles my auto-run off last night while playing, navigating around in small rooms or the tavern while trying to sprit was annoying and I didn't like having to hold shift down while moving. So I left it that way even when outside and I think it makes the game feel more immersive. Definitely allows me to appreciate the environments a lot more. It's nice to just explore around the forest if you can get out of the mind set of get to point X ASAP, achieve goal, get to point Y ASAP etc...

I like slowly walking towards a group of Nekkers or bandits lobbing bombs at them and then cutting them all down like I was ploughing lilies ;)

I always WALK when in towns/populated ares. The game looks much too wonderful to miss all the exquisite details. :)

I don't bother to toggle run off. I am always overloaded, so my pack-mule Geralt takes his time getting everywhere.

I hate not having some kind of storage system, but not having the ability to dodge/roll would have been my death half a dozen times so far lol

I find that nekker parts sell really well though and there are abundant herb equivalents for their properties so I use them as my cash income, that and the mutagen procs of alch.

The simple answer to your question is ---- no.

I toggle 'Autorun' to OFF, when I am in the towns or am following anyone.

And also before the initiation of any fight/battle, I like the animation of unsheathing the sword while walking and then with a delay I toggle 'Autorun' to ON before I swing my first attack.

Nooooo! I have no toggle!! :-o

But it's a lot more comfortable/natural with the controller to change speed. ;)
I walk most of the time, because I need to admire the beautiful world. In the first witcher, running was neccessary, because you had to cover great distances that were rather empty in comparison. Here, there's something amazing to marvel at everywhere. It would be blasphemy, to run through those meticulously handcrafted environments. :)

Yep, I toggle auto-run off in smaller rooms, but I turn it back on when running around the streets or in wilderness areas. It just feels ridiculous to see Geralt running at top speed around Triss' tent and other similar areas. XD

I walk in populated areas, and indoors. Looks more in character, plus lots to see around.

I wish autorun auto-activated when you go into battle...

I don't notice what I do, tbh.
I train video game controls to be second nature, so if I want Geralt to walk, he walks.

By my 3rd playthrough, I have already seen almost everything there is to be seen. True, the environments are detailed and all, but I'm mostly chasing after the quest/side-quest (clues that offer insight into the story). So no I don't turn auto-run off.
