16:10 monitors aren't fully supported in the game yet, that's why you get black bars... they said they will fix sometime soon i believe.

16:10 is not natively supported, as yet. Only 16:9 is supported natively currently. 16:10 support should be coming in one of the early updates however. Until then, you'll have to live with the Black Bars. It's one of my gripes with the game currently, but it isn't going to stop me enjoying the game. In fact, probably, when 16:10 native support is implemented, I'll probably be so used to playing with the bars that it'll feel strange when I switch.

I have a 5:4 monitor and it still displays as 16:9 with black bars. This is insane!
Developers get more stupid everytime they make a game it seems. This is unbelievable!

I know right? Plus if you didnt have the black bars then your screen would actually cut off some of the previous viewable screen.

Plus not to mention the small black bars are just the perfect size for my fraps FPS monitor :)

Another aspect of the game that suggest that CD Projekt RED is not so interested in the PC market like they previously said but in the console one. I've a 16:10 ratio LCD monitor and I use the 16:9 1600x900 resolution with the stretching disabled by the Nvidia control panel.

Please CDPR I really appreciated you conduct so far. I've bought many games on GOG, preordered TW2 from the start and re-bought TW1 EE for the second time here on GOG. We CRPG PC customer may be few but we are very loyal if someone treats us well. Please don't forget us because we are the reason of your success. If you forget us you will fail like Bioware in being a respectable software house and you will became an outlet for full-of-themselves so called "artists".

Right. It is a pitty because that Game offers very nice Graphics, but you cannot enjoy it.
Got the Same Problem on my 1280x1024 5:4 Monitor.

I will wait for a fix.

But I trust CDProject RED (as they trust me with this DRM-Free Release) and i am sure they release a fix soon.
