haandmad3stk: Ive tried to use the advice of Waltorious and yet i get this message "Application load error 5:0000065434" I got my edition on steam, that might be why?

Es suuucks, just finished tW2, and now i want to finish off the first Witcher to get my Witcher fix!

I could start the game when it was freshly installed. But now, it does nothing. Nothing, as in, no min require not met error, no application load error. Just.. nothing, after the shortcut is clicked.

Yet again, tried the -dontforceminreqs solution and im running it as administrator.

This is wrinkling my brain.

Please help.

haandmad3stk: If i choose not to run it as administrator, nothing happens what so ever. Simply, nothing.

If i do run it as admin ill get a box which ask if ill allow the Witcher to change any setting on my PC. Yes/No does the same thing. Nothing. Again, no error box, the cursor just shows the loading symbol for 1 sec, that is the only reaction i get from clicking on my The Witcher EE shortcut.

For gods sake, the only "solutions" im able to find on the internetz are the -dontforceminreqs and running the game as an admin, both seem to fail at their purpose.

Might the fact that the game is not installed on C/Program Files (x86)/bla bla/The Witcher EE but on another drive (D) which is not a external harddrive, just my second one in my setup?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, since i reeeally want to play this game. Loved tW2EE, and im sure ill enjoy the original game just as much.
