I'm not sure what the graphic card is but the computer is very new.

I guess I started a trend lol. If you have an integrated Intel HD graphics card, then you have the exact same specs as myself and at least one other person on here. Go into the file location for the game. Find the application file in the System folder. Right click on it and create a shortcut. Put the shortcut on the desktop and right click on it, select properties. At the Target line, after the quotation marks, type "dontForceMinReqs" without quotes. Then open the game using that shortcut, and it should work. You'll have to play on pretty low settings, but it should run fine.

I already tried that more then once but it didn't work.

Small but important details:

1. there needs to be a dash. It's -dontforceminreqs
2. the whole thing will end up looking like this

".......\The Witcher\System\witcher.exe" -dontForceMinReqs

3. look at this thread for more details
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher/will_my_computer_run_the_witcher/page1

TCMU2009's thread should probably be stickied; this is like the third subsequent thread on the topic.

Sorry, I forgot the dash. That'll mess the whole thing up.

>.> The only reason I posted was because i did that already and it did the same thing "Warning, Minimum hardware settings don't match!".
Really? Two thoughts.

1. Is that exactly what it says? On my computer, the text is "Warning! Minimum system requirements not met!" Very unlikely but possible you're getting a different error than what we're talking about.

2. Copy and paste the exact shortcut target you're using into this thread. We can look at it and see if you're doing anything wrong.

Sorry, its "Warning! Minimum system requirements not met!" "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\The Witcher Enhanced Edition Directors Cut\launcher.exe" -dontForceMinReqs
There's your problem.

It needs to be a shortcut to the witcher.exe file (in the system folder), not to the launcher.

Hope that helps :)

Goodnight!
I wonder why this warning never came up for me. The laptop i'm playing on came out recnetly but is integrated intel graphics. Maybe cause I played the demo first? But the message never came up for the demo either...
I tried adding the addition...Target looks like this now:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\The Witcher Enhanced Edition Directors Cut\System\witcher.exe" -dontForceMinReqs

When I click, i don't get a window, but I don't get anything happening.
The cursor thinks for a few seconds, my keyboard in the taskbar disappears, and reappears, and then, nothing.

any suggestions?
I"m not all that computer savvy, but I did find the .exe file and do the short cut thing and all, i should be able to follow insturctions.

Please copy and post exactly what the string is in the shortcut. Also, describe the problem. Are you getting the error message, or just a failure to launch? (no pun.)
