TailSwallower: I've been searching around and this seems the closest thread to my issue -
I downloaded The Witcher using the GOG Downloader, but I've got over 800 files in the folder, and even though the program says it's verifying and combining files it doesn't do anything.
Any trick I can use to get around this, or do I have to download it again? Hoping I don't have to burn through another 8gigs of downloads seeing as that's a third of my monthly limit.
(I actually bought and downloaded the game when GOG first released it, but only just got a new computer that can run it last night.)
When it's done verifying and combining files (if you have a fast connection, it can take longer to do this than it did to download), you'll be left with 5 .bin files and one .exe file. At that point, you can destroy any .chunk files that are left over, and run the .exe file to install the game.
Archive those six files (the 5 .bin and the one .exe).
