I am having trouble completing this chapter. every time I try to get thru that darn cave I get blocked by the workers and the soldiers, I have knocked out the pillars even got to loot the body for the moon rune one time. But every time I hit the darn main cave with all of the soldiers and workers in it I get stuck and the queen comes up and bites me and kills me.

Anyone have any Ideas???

Thanks

Did you drop the pillars before the first body? Did you drop the pillars after the first cave? As I recall, in each tunnel leading to the last cave there should be one or two pillars you can drop to block pursuit, thus you should be able to enter it without too much trouble. Alternatively, you can try drinking a Blizzard potion (the "Bullet Time" one) to enable you to move between the other kikimores a bit easier, or you can spam the Aard sign on the workers as well, to push them away.
P.S. I don't recall there being many kikimores on the last cave, though I may be mistaken. You did get the comment from Geralt about dropping this cave, right?
When you get close to the cave full of workers - you shouldn't stop and linger there, otherwise they'll all run to you and block your passage, trapping you with the queen coming from behind. Instead, run as fast as possible into that room, and maneuver across those workers (don't try fighting them!) to get to the to the exit from that cave on the other side. Try using the jumping move if you get stuck (double forward). Then try collapsing the ceiling from the other side.

if you double tap any direction key geralt will do an evasive move. if you use forward he will do a vault/roll forward. this part is rather tricky, I remember getting stuck there myself but a few tries later I succeeded. Key is to avoid combat and just manouver around them.
Every time I collapse the final cave I get killed in the cave in, no matter where I stand. I've tried everything from right at the entrance to the end of the tunnel. I've even used the protection sphere continuously 6 or 8 times, but as soon as I turn it off I'm dead. I've even seen the announcement that the queen is dead and I should gut the body, but I'm still dead. Any suggestions

The area is glitched and sometimes the script will kill you even if you're standing in the appropriate space. The only consistent solution I've found is to make absolutely sure to knock out both of the small arches before the large chamber, to NOT get the moon rune, and to wait until the queen has entered the main chamber before using Aard on the pillars. Otherwise Geralt will usually fall over dead even if he's at the absolute end of the passage and there aren't any rocks anywhere near him. It's one of the most irritating sections of the game for me.
This area is problematic. Here's what I did, after much experimentation:

1) There's a wall of stalagmites at the back of the queen's cave. If you walk behind it, the queen can only approach you from one side, because the gap on the other side (the one closer to the exit, fortunately) is too narrow for her to get through. Get her to follow you behind the stalagmites, then just before she reaches you, run for the exit. She'll have to plod all the way around by the back end of the cave before she can give chase.

2) When you run into the passageway, ignore all the smaller supports. Blasting them is a waste of time. If any kikkimores get in your way, double tap forward to jump over them.

3) When you get to the big cave, run around the left edge. This is important. I found I had a natural inclination to go right, but you're dead if you go right because you'll have to come back into the cave to get under the supports, and the kikkimores will usually cut you off from the exit or something. If you go left, you can just follow the cavern wall under the supports and then to the exit.

4) Blow the supports. Once you do this all the kikkimores flee except the queen. If you followed steps 1 and 2, she should not have caught up to you yet.

5) Keep running to the exit and don't stop until you're sure you're clear of the destruction.

Works reliably for me.
If you jump over even a single one of the little kikimores, it helps, because the Queen only attacks you if she's right behind you. If there's a little kikimore between you and her, she mostly can't get to you.

If you take a Full Moon potion (which doubles your hit points), it helps, because it means that you can survive one hit from the Queen. That gives you room to screw up once and still keep going.

double-tap *what* ?!??!?! I tried double tapping every key on the mouse, keyboard, monitor, even my face... *nothing* causes me to jump anywhere?!?!?

I've tried this damned scene more than 30 times over three days, I cannnot get past this... am I stuck with deleting this stupid program???????

Well, eventually I managed to get to the back cave without already being surrounded by kikimores, and managed to collapse the tunnel. whew...

and double-tapping cursor or mouse buttons still does *not* make me jump anywhere at all...

When facing an enemy (and standing just in front of him/her/it), double-tap W (walk forward) to jump over it. I am not sure now, but it might only work with the OTS (over-the-shoulder) camera mode selected.

In case this helps someone else, it's double-tapping your moment buttons (that is: W,S,A,D), and I found you had to have a sword out for this too work.
