I know this game is old but does it support surround sound by any chance?

Here is a link for Creative ALchemy Universal which works on all sound cards.

Use "yourgamepath\The Witcher Enhanced Edition" for Game Path and
"System" for Sub folder, also check Install into both Root and Sub Folders.
Seems to work fine for me with default settings, but I read that some people get better results with Duration set to 20 or even down to 5. If you get alot of repeating sounds, try that.

Eax takes the sharpness of the audio away in my game when it's on....weird
