Hello.

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it!

I've got stuck at the very Beginning of Chapter II. When I play dice with the elf the Prison Break cutscene and dialogue with Vincent doesn't properly occur and I'm stuck. I can't interact with Vincent or the thug, they only give auto-replies with no proper dialogue. I can only continue playing dice with the elf.

I've checked to wait 24 hours before entering Vizima and I've tried to reinstall the game.

Ive downloaded a bunch of save edit tools but can't find parameteres to start the quest (it's listed as q2014_cockatice)

I'm using Steam Enhanced version, no mods, actually, but this community seems to be much more helpful.

Thank you in advance if you can help to fix the quest (I can send the save file or the quest file to edit with K-GFF if necessary).

Don't do so if you used any of these tools before. Then probably you have a corrupt installation / corrupt saves.

Two ones before I didn't touch.
The one inside the dungeon I experimented with trying to start the quest but it didn't help. Though it didn't break it either.

You have to find Shani at the inn, vartloccur, join her and walk to the gates near the mill. Look at Geralt's journal (Ingame: Press "J" -> Quests).

Thank you. I did that but it hasn't helped.

Strange. I tried your save, went back to the inn and returned with Shani. After the Dice Poker there's a missing dialogue with Vincent.

Let's examine if your installation or savegame is corrupt. Here's one of my saves. It works on my computer as intended. Download the save and try it out:

Hope you didn't see it before: It was the wrong save. But now it should be ok.

Update: tried to replace just this quest file with your started one via save editing and it didn't work out. There must be some corruption in Vincent or the Thug I think.
It does show the Prison Break quest as started but otherwise it's the same.

Update: also made Vincent's and Muscleman's state in the .summ file according to good file. Didn't help.

Ok, so what I did.
I put your good save and my bad save to the very beginning of the Chapter 2, before playing dice. And then I unpacked them with save edit and replaced my file for the quest (2014cockatrice) with yours. Then repacked my save and it worked out.
