I would like to get some explanation on what certain stats mean in different weapons.

Every time you pick a sword other than the default you can see either -x% or +x% attack, and I would like to know what it means exactly,I mean I know it's talking about damage, but it;s comparing with what?,what is the default value?,it's +- compared to what?.

Same applies to all other stats, fair enough I get what x% chance of disarming means, but if it has a + or a - I get kinda lost because I'm not sure what it's comparing itself with.

The way I understood it, your damage is governed by your fighting style and used attacks - I believe you can find damage of those in the skill tree - and swords act as a damage modifier, so when a sword has 200% damage, all your attacks you can see in your skill tree are twice as damaging.

As for status effects like disarm and such, +60% should mean that you always have 60% chance of disarming a target on attack. Not sure about this tho, that's just how I understood it.
I think the default it is the basic witcher swords, you received in prologue and ch1 for free, so when you see +60% mean that it is 60% more good than the basic witcher sword, but the all damage inflicted depend on fighting style and character development too...

That sounds very logical, and it makes a lot of sense, tho it would be hard to prove because I cannot find any clear numbers except in the individual style's upgrade trees and they don't change when you change the weapons in your inventory, or even when you take them out, I guess they expected us to do the math ourselves?.

That's what I was originally thinking, but if so it's not a very good system because not even the The Withcer's steel sword has any clear numbers in it, it just says that damage depends on the style, so I think the first guy has a better theory about the weapons being modifiers.

I'm pretty sure that's the case, yes. I never could find any proper info on this, so that's all I have going for me.
