Hello GOGamers, how yall doing ;p ?
I have been searching around mods,tweaks and hacks to make Geralt run faster, but i encountered some problems.
I went to witcher folder/Data/2da/moverates.2da
Been tweaking some values, but when i modify run value for Geralt he doesn't run faster

1 chr_geralt 1.7 1.54 15 1.55 1.2 2.6 1.52

, but when i change run value for default, everyone does including npc's and enemies.

0 Default 1.7 1.52 15 1.55 1.2 2.6 1.52

I changed these values before i launched the game, just to make sure there were no problems, because loading games didn't make the default change work(at least default works before launching the game, so i am happy to some extent).

Does anyone know how to only make Geralt run faster?

I dont really use any mods in games, unless of course the game is missing a lot of content that was left out of the retail version (KOTOR 2 for example).

The only way I have found to make geralt run faster is during the evening when there is a possibility of a fight. Equip a sword, any sword, and put it to fast attack. Then your speed will increase if you have the sword in your hand. It is the best way I have found, as your speed increases, and when you get into a fight, you can also switch stances to whichever stance you need. This is only a temporary fix, as he will sometimes put his sword away. Just keep bringing it out and you should be fine. Hope this helps

So I'm not the only one doing that eh? I guess FPS Doug (from PurePwnage) was right, you DO run faster with a knife! Well sword in this case.

By the way, is it just me or does Group Style also make you run faster, but slightly slower than Fast Style?

Yeah he was right lol. You run at a slightly lesser speed with group stance, but an increase from the norm any way you look at it.
