I could be mistaken, but I think the files Galaxy uses are a little bit different than the ones you can download from your browser (or with the old GOG Downloader, which still works for the time being); if that's the case, and you downloaded the game with Galaxy, then you'll probably just have to re-download the whole thing. :( If you do, I would recommend using the standalone installers, since if one part is corrupted or whatever during the DL, you won't have to download ALL of them yet again. (The Downloader program checks the files' integrity during or after DL, and I think the newer installers all do a file integrity check prior to installation, too.)

That file is part 3 of 7 in your account.

He seems to have downloaded the standalone installers, which AFAIK are the same site, GOG Downloader, or Galaxy.

I tried to import The Witcher folder that already had evrything downloaded and installed into Galaxy and it wanted to redownload the whole game again instead.

I guess they have some more tweaking to do. Thing is though my Don't Stave game imported just fine.

From what I remember one of the blues posting some time back, the old standalone installers are all having to be altered or redone for them to be able to be properly recognized by the 'Import existing install' feature of Galaxy. If the files you installed The Witcher from were downloaded more than a few months ago, that might explain why Galaxy DL'ed the game again. (Or maybe it's just because Galaxy's a bit wonky. :) )

Finally found one of the posts I'd seen (a quote from Destro):

Right. The normal "compressed" galaxy install will be different. He apparently downloaded the standalone installer, which you can also do with Galaxy, which is the same regardless of the method chosen.

Right, gotcha. I thought you were talking about telling Galaxy to (or letting it automatically) install your game, as opposed to downloading the standalone installer(s) from your library using Galaxy. I notice your wording now. My mistake.

I stand by the info & advice I posted, though.
