It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Is this normal? First freeze was when leaving the Witcher retreat, after running off the bandits. Second freeze was when the kid and girl were running from the hounds. Then a crash happened when I was simply leaving the first Inn after doing a little boxing with the local idiots. I’m only three fairly short sessions into this game, so it seems like a lot to me.
You didn't provide any info about your system, so I don't know if this applies to you at all.
I had a bunch of crashes too, until I applied the user-made 4gb patch (look for it).
Maybe give it a try.

Sorry but I’m a bit of a novice with tech stuff. I can tell you it’s an ASUS ROG and I get regular NVIDIA graphics updates. Bought new in 2014, so should handle most games.

If I google search the key words you posted above, I’ll find this patch online?

I have an Asus mobo and Nvidia 1070, but I got the crashes anyway.

Sorry I’m slow to reply, Phaolo; I’ve been off the board a while. I decided to tough it out, and I’ve had a fair number of subsequent crashes. I just save a lot and reload as needed. I’m a little leery of snagging things like what you posted, but I appreciate the link.

On a side note, I’m noticing really slow load times now that I’m farther into the game. I’m assuming that’s due to a high number of game saves?

Anyway, thanks to both of you for your posted suggestions. I’ve almost beaten the game now, so I’ll ride out my glitchy game until it’s all over with.

Hoping Witcher 2 isn’t buggy like this. :)
