When I go to a blacksmith, I have the option to ask him to reforge my weapon. And I have runes, diamond dust and meteor ore.
When I click "Reforge my weapon", the normal buy/sell GUI opens, and I can buy/sell weapons, but how do I get the runes/ore/diamond dust into/onto my weapons?

I have searched online for an answer, but I could not find anybody with a similar problem. I am quite sure that I am missing something obvious, and would be thankful for any tips.

Despite the wording, in The Witcher 1 "reforging" actually gets you a new sword that doesn't replace your previous one. You just talk to the blacksmith and select the sword you want to buy, enhanced with items from your inventory.

Thanks, that solved it. I can just buy a new meteor sword. And the runes that can be branded into the silver sword apparently work like the meteor ore. I need to have three of them in my invetory, and then can buy a 'new' silver sword with those three runes branded into it.

I also found out that diamond dust and rune stones are applied just as grindstone, drag and drop them onto the weapon you want to boost.
