Trees seem to flash when I'm a little way away from them and distant trees flicker blue (as pictured, although it's a little difficult to tell when it's static) when I move the cursor. Reducing the view distance doesn't make much difference and that is a compromise I would much prefer to not make.

Graphic card details: Sapphire 11168-02-20R HD 5670 512MB GDDR5 PCIE

I really want to enjoy this game but with the amount of glitches I have encounter it's really ruining the experience.

Edit: I forgot to mention but I'm using Windows Vista.

The obvious thing to check is to make sure you have the latest graphics drivers from ATI. You should also run the game as administrator if you've installed it to Program Files, and it won't hurt to run as admin even if you haven't installed there.

Also check your Catalyst Control Center options (usually you can access this by right-clicking your desktop and finding the Catalyst Control Center entry in the menu). For the Witcher you probably want most settings to be "off, unless application specifies"; that will let The Witcher decide which graphical effects are on, and your card won't override those settings.
Thanks for the help.

I've tried all of that and yet the problem still persists, it's not as bad with low anisotropic filtering but it's still very, very annoying.

I haven't seen this particular issue myself... I ran the game with an HD5870 and didn't have any problems. Anyone else seen this behavior?
After experimenting with all the ingame options I have found that by using 8x anisotropic filtering none of the trees seem to flicker. It's odd that using the lowest setting still makes it happen, but I'm not going to question it.

Thanks for your help all the same :D.

well , downscaling AA , AF sometimes results in underperformance of the card.
Also you should dig in your CCC settings and force the parameters there.
They don't get changed automatically after an update.
