I was very pleased earlier this evening when I learned that GOG started to release soundtracks in FLAC, including the soundtracks for The Witcher and The Witcher 2.

Unfortunately, that joy didn't last very long. I downloaded the FLAC soundtrack for the first The Witcher and listened to my favorite song in the game, The Dike, and was greeted by crackling noises at 3:04, 3:11, 3:43 and some other places. I haven't heard any other songs yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if there are more crackling noises here and there :(

I'll be rechecking the soundtrack as time permits. I'll definitely take the CD again and try ripping the audio with a different tool.

Because I don't know what I am expected to have? Am I expected to be making these from DAT (or the equivalent thereof) files?

I am sorry, but contrary to popular belief, we're not the same company. We're two different companies under the same umbrella, if that helps.

Well, can't you just ask them to send you over the raw .WAV or whatever files, just like how you request game data? Seems weird that you're not able to do that.
