The witcher is not launching today on my Macbook Pro running 10.8.5

When I click on the icon on my dock it bounces once and does nothing. When looking at the console I see this message

03/11/2013 20:59:07.113 WineskinLauncher[926]: Unable to find class: X11Application, exiting

Any help would be appreciated. I am fairly new to apple macs

DarkMeph

resolved by reinstalling The Witcher.

I'm not a Mac pro either, so may be some else can give his opinion.
As far as I know, these errors sometimes occur after a game crashed and if people have solved it, then by by fiddling with wines installation, updates and configuration.

What I would do, is backing up the savegames (Goto your local Library under User. => Library/com.cdprojektred.TheWitcher/The Witcher/saves/)
- unistall Whitcher
- uninstall WIne
- reinstall Wine (check for a new version)
- reinstall Witcher and use your old savegames

I'm pretty sure, that it'll work again, if you set it up anew, but I've never tried it myself.

I have backed up my save games and wine was part of the installation of the Witcher. I will uninstall the Witcher and try again,

do u happen to have any usb stick / external drive mounted while launching the game ?
my wineskin wrapper couldn't launch IWD recently and while tinkering around wineconfig i noticed that it recognized mounted usb stick as another drive; after unmounting it the game launched fine [don't know if that's the root cause though]

I have my NAS drive mount a drive when I log into my mac. I did reinstall the Witcher and got it working if starts misbehaving again. I will try and a dismount the drive and see if that makes a differences.
