I can't go for more than about 10 minutes without the game freezing or crashing. I'm at the very beginning of the game. It usually happens when I'm on the journal screen, and main menu. The game also crashed during gameplay. That time, I got a non-specific WINE error. The other times, when it freezes, I don't get an error - I just need to force quit.

Here are my specs:

MBP Retina
2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB RAM
GeForce 650M 1024MB
OSX Lion 10.7.5

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have same problem...
But now i can't even run the game. It just doesn't wants to start.
Hope they get it fixed.

I installed the game in my Macbook Pro of 2007 (Intel core duo 2.4 Ghz, 2Gb sdram). The game was so slow at minimum graphic settings and it used to freeze at beginning.
Then I update the Wineskine engine exactly as explained here:
http://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/related/s2bqz/howto_update_the_witcher_enhanced_edition_engine/

Now it runs smooth enough to play (still at minimum settings for me) and it doesn't freeze anymore. Hope it can helps.
