Hey, just wanted to get some clarification regarding levelling up your abilities. I would assume that they do not stack, as it seems like if they do the bonuses would in some cases be far too substantial. So does this make earlier tiers of an ability irrelevant?

For example, with Strong Silver I have already unlocked Patinado II, which grants a 50% damage bonus on incinerated enemies. However, I do not have Patinado I, which confers a 40% bonus. Would there be any actual benefit to obtaining Patinado I, or would the damage bonus just remain at its current state of 50%? Does this apply to other tiered skills?

This was pretty confusing to me, too and turned out as follows:

Damage and status bonuses for a style don't stack at all, but each tier corresponds to a strike of a combo.
So you get tier one bonus for the first strike of the combo, tier 2 bonus for the second and so on.
If you don't have a tier unlocked, you don't get a bonus with the corresponding strike within a combo.

Example: If you get the 15% damage option in both the first and second bronze slots, you get a 15% damage bonus with both your first and second attack in that combo. If you only got the first, you'd get a 15% bonus on your first attack, but no bonus on the second.

The gist of it, each stage of the combo is handled separately and with its own upgrade bonuses.
