I have a XPS laptop with these specs:
-Intel Core i7 2720QM
-8192 Mo RAM
-3072 NVIDIA GeForce GT555M
-17.3" 1600x900 screen

When I launch The Witcher, it say "Warning, Minimum hardware settings don't match!".

No file missing, and I re-installed DicectX.

Can somebody help me?

As above. Ignore the warning, it probably doesn't recognise new laptop GPUs.

Also, i'm looking to put some anti-aliasing and make the textures nicer. But these options in the settings wont work (anti aliasing is disabled and texture say something like -1#IDB)
Anything for that?

Maybe try setting FSAA in nvidia control panel - although with such a slow GFX card I doubt you will get playable framerates with FSAA - especially in the infamous Trade quarter ;)

As for textures, no idea, could you post a screenshot of the borked settings?

If you want better textures, you have to get nVidia Optimus to let witcher.exe see the nVidia GPU.

You need the nVidia Verde 270.61 driver (not anything earlier; it doesn't work right with earlier drivers).

If installing the driver alone doesn't solve the texture problem, you need to add witcher.exe to the list of programs that are to be assigned to the nVidia GPU. This setting is in the nVidia Control Panel, under Manage 3D Settings->Program Settings.

Click "Add", browse to the witcher.exe executable (probably at C:\Program Files (x86)\The Witcher\system\witcher.exe), and select the "high performance nVidia GPU".

Then launch The Witcher and see if you can run without the "-dontForceMinReqs" switch and get the better textures.

the " -dontForceMinReqs " still doesnt work help!!!!!!

Make sure that it's OUTSIDE the quote marks, and there is a space between the closing quote mark the the -dontForceMinReqs.

i have and iv tried all other possible ways of putting it in the target box iv been at it about 2 hours now trying about 7 diffrent solutions

You must not be doing it properly.

What is your target parameter, copy and paste it?

Make sure when you're making the shortcut it isn't to the launcher, but the Witcher executable in the system folder of your GOG install.

Yeah, I forgot to point this out... you have to actually find witcher.exe in the install directory and make a shortcut to that, add the -dontForceMinReqs parameter to it, and then use that shortcut to run the game.

If you installed to the default location, then it is probably in c:\ProgramFiles\GOG.com\The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut.

Just make a shorcut to witcher.exe as per the instructions above. Run the game from that shorcut and it should be fine.

ive tryed putting in the -dontForceMinReqs thing and it still doesnt work for me ive contacted tech support and its been three hours and they havent messaged me back someone please help!
