I wasn't really paying attention to Mac dropping support for 32-bit programs, and after going through Witcher 3 and Thronebreaker on my PS4 recently, I got the urge to go back and replay the first game. Only now its no longer possible to play on my laptop!

I'd really love to play through the Witcher 1 and 2 again, but I'm guessing theres little chance of an update. With Witcher 3 being successful on consoles, is there any hope of porting the older games?

Very unlikely. You would be better off installing another OS next to MacOS. There are free versions of Linux that support using 32bit programs on a 64bit installation.
