Hello,

There seems to be a big problem with the mouse cursor in game you have the latest Windows 10. A lot of people are complaining about it on the Steam forums as well

The cursor seems to be stuck in the left upper corner and just jitters there when moving the mouse. This issue also happens in the menu so I am not even able to bring my cursor to the typing box to type my name when the game is launched for the first time.

Alt-Tabbing from and back to the game doesn’t fix this problem
Putting the game in Windows 8 or 7 Compatibility mode also does not fix this.

I have sent an email to the developers but haven't received a response so far.

The Steam version seems to have a workaround but it doesn't apply for the GOG version fo the game.

Any fix for this?

Can only second this problem. Interested in a fix as well, was a cool game...

Same here. Mouse cursor stuck on opening window. I can't even write my name for creating a profile.

Fix found: Run the standalone installer instead of the Galaxy-one.

How did I came across this? Well, downloaded the installer to test it on other Win10PCs and it worked on all of them...

I tried the standalone installer already. Didn't fix it unfortunately.

I emailed 2 of the devs. One responded and told me that he forwarded my bug report to the main dev of the game and that he'd let me know if he'd answer. Unfortunately, this is now more than 2 months ago.

It gets even more interesting: It works for me on one of the other test-PCs, but on mine it crashes after the intro. When installing the latest patch on top the MouseProblem reappears.

Very, very strange.

Hmm, a hint that this mouse problem is caused by the patch then.

Same issue here. I tried playing with the compatability settings to no avail. The lucky steam community found a solution, I have no idea how to implement it on Gog.

I resolved the mouse issue by uninstalling and re-installing only the main binaries, i.e. I didn't install the patch.

Download & install [setup_the_swapper_2.0.0.2] from gog.


But, the game itself is crashing in the intro...

Same Problem here.
I have my gamepad plugged in too, so I could get at least to the options menu.
There I disabled the gamepad but the mouse was still stuck as described.
No way except Alt-F4 to even leave the game.
Trying to get a refund now...

Did anyone figure out a way to move the mouse? (HumbleBundle DRM-free version has the same bug, too, by the way. And changing the compatibility mode doesn't help, either.)

At my own risk I downloaded the Dropbox files and replaced the original GOG ones. Windows 10 protested, but I ran the game and it works.

Nice, it works. Would be good if GOG could try to incorporate that fix. And it would be even better if Facepalm could support the title once again: They could implement ResolutionScale for example, port the game to Vulkan and Linux, ...
