Bummer, bought the special edition just to support gog but the game will not start. Just a tiny error window showing Surge2 Icon that says 'can't start the program'. Windows7sp1, 64bit offline PC.
I've read on steam forums that the issue is Vulkan and that there is no dx11 nor openGL option.

Surge 1 runs at 120 fps so I don't understand the need for vulkan especially if it's not tested with older hardware.

x58
980x
1080ti
24gb RAM

I only use Drivers provided by manufacturer for my 1080ti which is MSI.
Does someone know a direct link to Vulkan api needed to run Surge2?
Thank you.

Download the drivers from https://www.nvidia.de/Download/index.aspx . Seriously.
Uninstall the MSI supplied drivers.
Reboot.
When installing the nvidia drivers I personally recommend "only drivers without GeForce Experience". But that is me.
What is really important: Tick the "Perform a clean installation" mark.

if you used the MSI overclocking tool you can still use it if you want, but if you are unsure don't.

I can't do that. I only use graphic drivers shipped with the card for optimum performance.
Thank you for trying to help.
I was hoping for direct Vulkan download help but now I already refunded the game.

Okay, then stick with your decision and don't play. You believe in "optimum performance drivers", your choice, your problem. Ask MSI. They might give the same suggestion I did BTW.
